As strongly hoped by everybody, the Covid-19 emergency seems to have weakened and, even with due precautions, the historic motorsport has started again with the first races in the various disciplines.

 

In this regard, the news of the agreement concluded with ACI Sport for the holding of the Franciacorta Historic on Saturday 29 August 2020 is fresh: thanks to the collaboration and availability of organizers of "Trofeo Noci Motor Classic" (who granted their date due to the postponement to 2021) and those of the "Trofeo Colline Moreniche" - the latter scheduled for the following day and valid for Trofeo Nazionale Regolarità - competitors will have the opportunity to compete, although within a short time, in two events in the same weekend to the full benefit of the discipline and the full and regular recovery of motorsport.

 

Talking about Franciacorta Historic, the race will take place in a single race day with start and finish at the Agriturismo Solive in Corte Franca (Brescia) according to the new provisions of the ACI Sport general protocol available on the website acisport.it.

The race program includes for first the registration of competitors and administrative checks from 7.30 to 10.30 hrs and, following, the delivery of the road book in time slots (as regulation wants) and of the lunch box carefully prepared by Agriturismo Solive. At 12.00 the departure of the first car with the crews who will race along a 145 km route through Franciacorta and Iseo Lake - it is confirmed the suggestive transit on the Paratico lakefront - with a total of 45 precision time trials in line (not repeated) and 3 time controls. From 16.30 the return to Agriturismo Solive with the delivery of pleasant "refreshing" gifts to all competitors and finally at 19.30 the prize-giving (in compliance with the minimum distance provided by the protocol).

 

Entries will open on Monday 13 July and close at 24.00 on Monday 17 August (according to the new ACI Sport protocol), and can be made online on this site by connecting to "2020 > ONLINE ENTRY" section. For competitors who wish to extend their stay in Franciacorta - arriving the night before or stopping on Saturday night and then leaving again in the morning in the direction of "Trofeo Colline Moreniche" - an hotel convention is available and can be consulted online in "2020 > HOSPITALITY" area.
